About Us

Jon-Mikel is a cartoonist, illustrator and student at the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, VT. Though well-liked by the general public, his closest friends describe him as scornful, high-handed and “born old.”

After four years of diligent study in writing, printmaking, book design, cartooning and postmodern theory, he was awarded his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004 by The Evergreen State College. While there, he edited and designed the school’s literary journal, Slightly West, for an unprecedented three-and-a-half years. His comics have appeared in The Cooper Point Journal, Slightly West, and Olympia, and have been featured in The Olympian and The Boston Globe; his illustrations have appeared in Rowing News and the forthcoming pop-up book Unlearning, by Ed Moehlenkamp, Ray Roberge and Lee Cary.
